The Particulars

The C6 Z06 Corvette was the fastest production car that GM had ever produced up until 2009 (introduction year of the C6 ZR1). Its has a 0-60(mph) of 3.6 seconds, top speed of 316kph (198mph), and is capable of a quarter mile in 11.7 seconds @ 125mph. The frame is constructed of weight saving rigid aluminum, with carbon fiber composite floors and a magnesium alloy engine cradle. The 505HP LS7 V8 (GM's Legendary 427) utilizes lightweight titanium connecting rods and a dry sump oiling system (Nascar Style). Easily tune-able, the LS7 V8 will produce upwards of 550hp with simple low budget bolt-ons and if so desired can be propped-up to produce power greater then that of the 650HP ZR1.

The Z06 is about one thing...SPEED

Speed, however, does not come at the cost of convenience or luxury. Power is put to the ground via 6-Speed short-throw manual transmission that has 6th gear well over-driven to accommodate fuel efficient cruising. Absolutely fully loaded, this car in race-inspired Z06 trim also comes equipped with the coveted 3LZ equipment package. Options like Power memory seats, Steering wheel mounted audio controls, MP3 Voice navigation, 7 speaker Bose stereo system with Sirius/XM radio and 6CD changer.
